When I first started my photography journey, I never could have predicted where it would take me. I fell in love with capturing the joy and emotions of weddings, and for the past few years, it has been my main focus. There is something magical about being a part of someone's special day and immortalizing it in photos. However, as I continue to grow and evolve as a photographer, I have realized that I am being pulled in a different direction. I have always been passionate about music, and combining that with photography is a dream come true for me. Being able to capture the energy and emotion of a live performance is an incredible experience, and I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to do so.
In addition to live music, I have also found a passion for high school senior photography. It is a pivotal moment in a young adult's life, and being able to document that transition is an honor. The excitement, confidence, and potential of these seniors is contagious, and I find joy in being able to capture their unique personalities in photos. It's a chance for them to express themselves and have fun while creating lasting memories.
While I may be stepping back from shooting weddings as much as I used to, I am not limiting myself to just live music and senior photography. I still love capturing the love and connection between couples, the bond of families, and the beauty of maternity. By expanding my focus, I hope to continue to grow and challenge myself as a photographer. Each genre offers its own set of challenges and opportunities for creativity.
At the heart of it all, my goal as a photographer is to capture the special moments that make up our lives. Whether it's the first dance at a wedding, the raw energy of a concert, the milestone of graduating high school, or the anticipation of welcoming a new life, I want to preserve these memories for my clients to look back on and cherish for years to come. Photography is more than just taking a picture; it's about capturing a feeling, a moment in time, and preserving it forever. And I am grateful to have found my passion in doing just that.
